- What is special about your job? What do you like about your duties?
The special thing about my job is that, together with my team, I have a direct influence on the overall success of the company. My job is very varied and I can learn something new every day. - What motivates you in your job?
My motivation is to meet new people every day. To work with them, to implement their projects together and to celebrate this success. - How did you enter CBB?
I’ve known Daniel (our managing director) since I was 17 years old, and everything else just fell into place:) - What do you like to do after work?
At the moment, my biggest “hobby” is my family. If there is still some time left, I passionately support my home club SSV Jahn Regensburg on the sidelines or do something with friends. - You come originally from Regensburg; how do you like it in Munich?
I have found my second home in Munich, I feel very comfortable here. Of course, Regensburg can’t be topped by anything - What kind of skills do you need for the Head of Development position?
In this position you need a variety of skills. On the one hand, you should have a healthy degree of resilience and self-confidence. On the other hand, you should be eloquent. - Furthermore… what character traits do you need as Head of Sales and Marketing?
Authenticity, empathy and reliability towards customers, suppliers and colleagues are crucial character traits needed for the job. - If someone wants to become like you, what is the carrier background?
At the end of the day, it always depends on the person themselves, there is no patent remedy here. For example, I took two business courses and acquired the technical know-how thanks to the active support of my colleagues. It never hurts to work in sales while still at school. We offer a good entry to the subject of “technical sales” from next year with the dual study programme Business Informatics – Sales and Consulting. Here you get to know the basics of technology on the one hand and sales on the other hand in a business and university environment in detail. - What were you doing before entering CBB?
I first completed a dual study programme at Aldi Süd. I then worked for the company as a regional sales manager for five years. - How did you get your know-how?
As already mentioned, my colleagues at Core-Backbone actively supported me in acquiring the necessary industry-specific know-how. Of course, a certain amount of self-study may prove highly benefical. - What differs CBB from other companies?
Core-Backbone is a company where I can realise myself as an employee. I am an entrepreneur in the company. So far, there has never been a day when I was expected to work mindlessly according to a pattern. Personal initiative is required and encouraged. It is this freedom that distinguishes Core-Backbone from other companies. In addition, we have excellent team unity and the working atmosphere is simply top. - How would you rate the work-life balance at CBB?
Of course there are days, such as conferences and trade fairs, when I work a lot and am separated from my family. However, this is kept within limits. At Core-Backbone, everyday work is always enriched by company events, for example in Mallorca. I consider my work-life balance to be very good. - What are your professional goals?
My professional goal is to retire from Core-Backbone. With my job, I want to actively contribute to ensuring that my colleagues, their families and I will never have existential fears. Of course, this can only work with satisfied customers. - Would you recommend this professional path to others? Why?
Yes, of course! If you enjoy travelling, like communicating with people and want to learn something new, a job in sales is just right for you. If you are interested, you can apply directly to us as a sales manager.
We congratulate Andreas on his 9th anniversary and wish him continued successful and fruitful cooperation. We would like to thank him sincerely for his friendly way of working and helpfulness towards customers and colleagues.
