Barbara Szöke works as a Sales and Marketing Assistant at Core-Backbone and supports the team in the implementation of sales strategies and marketing campaigns. She recently celebrated her 3-year anniversary with the company. Her dedication and proactive approach plays an important role in maintaining customer relationships and organising events.

1. 1. What is your position at Core-Backbone?

      I am a Sales and Marketing Assistant at Core-Backbone GmbH. My range of responsibilities is broad and includes office management, supporting my sales colleagues, organizing business trips and corporate events, as well as managing our social media channels.

   2. What motivates you in your job?
      My boss. 🙂 Just kidding. My job is varied and therefore anything but boring. There are always new and unique tasks to solve, and I receive great support along the way. This also allows me to grow a lot professionally.

   3. What is special about your job? What do you like about your duties?
      

      I really appreciate the variety and the people-oriented work. That’s exactly what makes this job such a good fit for me.

   4. What character traits are needed as a Sales and Marketing Assistant?
      Openness, good communication, and organizational skills are essential in this role.

   5. How did you enter CBB?
      I saw a job offer online by chance; I am really happy that I applied for this job back then.

   6. What were you doing before entering CBB?
      I worked in a similar role in sales and marketing, but for a Hungarian company that mainly operated as a supplier for the automotive industry.

   7. What do you like to do after work?
      Since I became a mother, the word “hobby” has taken a bit of a back seat. 🙂 Most of my time is happily spent with my 6-year-old daughter and my husband. Whenever possible, we travel and explore the world. I think that’s my hobby at the moment.

   8. How do you feel as a woman in IT?
      Fortunately, I get along well with men. I really enjoy their sense of humour.

   9. What do you appreciate about CBB?
      

      It’s great that the company has a flat hierarchy, as this significantly improves efficiency and smooth operations. I also appreciate the strong team spirit among colleagues, which is fostered by the numerous company events.

   10. How would you rate the work-life balance at CBB?
       

       Basically good. At Core-Backbone, there is flexible responsiveness to exceptional situations within the scope of what’s possible. There is always a Plan B when needed.
