Core-Backbone opened a second location in Hamburg at the end of December last year. In addition to the IPHH data center, Core-Backbone is now also located in the Lumen/Century Link data center.
With a population of 1.8 million, Hamburg is Germany’s second largest city after Berlin and an important location for Core-Backbone GmbH. The Hanseatic city is a major transshipment hub with good connections all over the world. Particularly for the IT industry, Hamburg is growing into an increasingly attractive location with around 55,000 employees in the IT sector. Hamburg is also known for its proximity to the East and North Seas, which is a popular travel destination for many people.
The new location for the core backbone is in the east of the city at Suederstrasse 198. The Hamburg data center from Lumen (formerly Century Link) extends over two floors with a total size of 8,394 m².
