Jana Rippberger, our employee, completed her Bachelor’s degree as well as her Master’s degree in Business & Management at the SRH-University of Applied Sciences Heidelberg.
Through practical work, she gained her first experience in the company and got to know valuable contacts as a graduate. Since March 2020, she has been working for Core-Backbone GmbH as Head of Finance and Executive Director.
How well was she able to apply everything from her studies in practice? She is happy to share her experiences.
Why did you decide to work for Core-Backbone?
The path to working life is a big step and brings with it many changes. Nevertheless, I was able to quickly acclimatise to working life due to the practical study content.

I chose Core-Backbone because I see an opportunity here to develop myself in a wide variety of areas and to work in an industry that is innovative and forward-looking.
What is it from your studies that can you use most in your job?
I can now apply many different exciting subject areas from the degree programme in my job. It is the diversity of the teaching blocks that I can now benefit from: from sales & marketing to finance and investment, as well as human resources and leadership.
What do you like about your duties?
What I like about my job is the variety. I enjoy dealing with different topics and thinking about new scenarios. Therefore, this balance between financial topics and emotional employee concerns is a challenge every day.
What do you appreciate about Core-Backbone GmbH?
The working atmosphere at Core-Backbone is excellent. The colleagues are friendly, open and very helpful, you never feel alone. I think another advantage of Core-Backbone GmbH is the dynamism, we have a very young and creative team whose members complement each other and always bring in new ideas.
