***MAY WE INTRODUCE*** Tobias Frenz

Tobias Frenz works as a Network Engineer at Core-Backbone GmbH. He has been supporting the network team in Nuremberg for over two and a half years. Tobias not only sets up Core-Backbone’s networks, he also configures them and ensures that they function smoothly and are regularly maintained. If faults do occur, he is responsible for rectifying them as quickly as possible. He is a real all-rounder.

1. 1. Welche Funktion hast du im Unternehmen der Core-Backbone? What is your position at Core-Backbone?

      Network Engineer.

   2. What is special about your job? What do you like about your duties?
      Variety, thanks to regular field assignments at our locations. The constant further development of network technology.

   3. What personality traits should you have as a network engineer?
      

      Stress-resistance, if there is a breakdown, logical thinking to find out the cause and rectify it as quickly as possible. The ability to work in a team is also very important. Enthusiasm for new tasks and new technology in the network.

   4. What did you do before Core-Backbone?
      I was a network engineer at one of the largest data centre operators in Germany.
   5. How would you rate the work-life balance at CBB?
      It’s good that if overtime is required due to field work or absences, this can be cancelled in a timely manner. Even if you need a day off at short notice or have to finish work early, that’s no problem.
   6. What do you like to do after work?
      I go dancing and enjoy going for drives in my cabrio.
   7. What do you appreciate about CBB?
      Flat hierarchy, regular company events and the solidarity between colleagues.
   8. What are your professional goals?
      Improve my knowledge of network technology.
